Had a wonderful time learning at EACEM 2022 + WINFOCUS 2022 plus got to explore beautiful Antalya, including climbing some amazing rock walls at Geyikbayiri thanks to conference colleagues and the local climbing community. Took to the stage for an oral presentation of proposed simulation training and competitions (SimWars) for medical students, and how this form of education can be designed and used to improve junior doctor competency. This framework was used in the first-ever med student SimWars in Singapore in the same month. Full abstract available in the EACEM publication.
**Updated: The first med student SimWars was a hit and changed how the local medical schools used simulation training. My alma mater, for instance, went on to increase simulation exposure in the curriculum, and won the 2nd edition of the SimWars.
